Hey all! I know you all were excited with only 2-3 days to our reopening, but there's been a bit of a set back. A few, actually.
For one, we won't have Irish like we thought we would. Although she had been engaged, she recently told us that life has gotten busy and hectic for her again. She can pop in, but she won't be able to be a part of our plot like we had planned. Naturally, that alone would set us back a bit.
However, there is also the recent Feral-Heart update. I'm unsure how many of you have already gotten it, but Feral-Heart has had a major overhaul. All the maps have been redone, or replaced. Private maps are still usable, so far, as are presets. You'll have to redownload everything, though.
Along with that, there has been some talk of potential moving. None of the remaining staff have the ability to change the site around. Rising and Irish, as admins, were the ones able to change the updates, navigation, leaders, staff, etc. Everything on the right side was their domain. However, due to both of their diminished involvings in the group, due to life and it's curve balls, they won't be able to change things around like we need. Because of this, we may move Divi to a new website.
Also, the plot will, once again, change. We're hoping not to change it too much, as many of the members involved are still going to be around, but it will need to be changed a bit. The remaining staff will talk it over and see what we can do, and we may or may not hold further auditions in the future.
Finally, for now, along with the possible moving of the website, we may try to make Divination a more forum or Skype based roleplay. I know that that wasn't how this was originally planned, but unfortunately plans change. Personally, I find it difficult to get on FH due to work, school, horses, and various other things. A forum or Skype based roleplay would benefit me much more than Feral-Heart. People would not need to be on 24/7, it would be easier to get updates and keep track of history, and we could still have our lovely bios. Additionally, we could also try to move it to a website like deviantART or something of the sort. I know that some of the staff are very unsatisfied with how Feral-Heart itself has changed as well. Although the map would stay the same, and we have permission to use it still from Rising, Feral-Heart isn't quite what it used to be.
I know it's a lot to think about, and so close to the day we were supposed to open, but I promise we're doing our best to try and get things up and running again. Life is simply crazy for all of us, and Divination, unfortunately, will have to take a backseat role to things like work, school, and other assorted activities. We're all doing our best.
If we do move Divi, it will have a new name. Similar to how the Warrior's series is "Warriors: -insert title here-" we will, likely, be changing the name according to the plot. So to start off with, we would be something like "Divination: Reborn" or "Divination: Risen", and as the plots evolved the title would change to "Divination: Circle of Stars" or something like that.
Please, please, please let us know what you think. We're doing our best, but any input you could give to us would help greatly! Along with that, I have some questions for you besides the poll down below;
Plot wise:
1. Would you want each Clan to have their own plot for a while? We already have one plot set up, but in the future would you like the Clans to have plots separate from each other and every now and then involve other Clans? For instance, instead of all Clans needing to unite, it could be like
-Date-
ThunderClan: Overrun with badgers, group of cats will discover the nest and lead an attack to drive them out
RiverClam: Two legs have begun fishing too close to the camp- who will discover how to drive them away?
WindClan: Two legs have begun irrigating the ground and driving away the prey. The Clan will need to discover how to get them to stop.
ShadowClan: Due to heavy rains, many parts of the territory and camp have flooded, causing cats to be forced to live in closer proximity and making tempers run high. Who/what group of cats will help keep tempers down and cats calm while figuring out how to dry up the camp?
-Next Date-
ThunderClan: Recovering from the badger attack, the border with ShadowClan has begun to blur due to (rogues/loners/apprentices/etc)- something will need to be done about this.
RiverClam: -peace-
WindClan: Hunters going after rabbits and cats! What will the Clan do?
ShadowClan: Still dealing with heavy mud and cautious peace, the border with ThunderClan has begun to blue due to (rogues/loners/apprentices/etc)- something will need to be done about this.
-Next Date-
Plot involving all four clans.
2. Do you still want the auditions for leader/deputy/med cat, or would you prefer for your own characters to make that decision with no admin approval? This would be experimental, and if it were taken advantage of, removed along with the cats abusing the rank.
3. Would you like to have some say in the plot, such as ideas for major/minor plot ideas? The staff have ideas, but we can't come up with everything.
4. Do you want to continue plot auditions without knowing what you're getting into? We could experiment with letting you know what may or may not happen, or even completely letting you know which parts you may get. Too many people are unwilling to kill their cats off (lol!) so having some who are, I hate to say it, expendable and you guys knowing that to make them expendable may or may not work. It's an idea, another one we could experiment with.
5. Any other questions/comments/concerns, please let us know! We're all in this together, trying to get this RP to survive and thrive! Any and all feedback (politely phrased and not rude) is appreciated!!
Thank you,
Kelpie
